It’s no secret that typically pilots are taking longer and spending more money than ever to achieve their goals to become pilots or add ratings to their certificates. In fact, the “average” private pilot flies over 80 hours before obtaining a private pilot certificate. This is double the minimum time allotted by the Federal - Aviation - Administration. Additionally, a prospective Instrument pilot student may over-fly the FAA minimums by as much as 70 % before passing a check ride and obtaining the rating. What does this mean ? Are prospective pilots less intelligent these days?

We think not!

In most cases the fault is not that of the student. Many instructors and schools are not accountable to their students / clients.  The reason is simple…if you finish in the minimum time they receive the minimum amount of money from you. The flight training industry is plagued with unprofessional schools and instructors using ineffective, unorganized methodologies. The sole cost and emotional expense is born by unsuspecting consumers.
